Birthday Girl

Ariana's Birthday was this week and we celebrated by going up to to cedar hills park and played. We walked along the trail, and stopped at the another park and had a picnic lunch and continued on and played at a local elementary school. When we were finished for the day we had stopped and played at 4 different playgrounds. I thought that it would be any four year olds dream day. Although at each park she just wanted to play on the swings.
I can't believe she is 4 years old time has gone by so fast. She is my firecracker personalty, she looks so sweet and Innocent, but she can turn on you so fast. She looks up to her big sister and wants to be just like her. Ari loves music and dancing, and knows the lyrics to many songs. Her favorite thing right now is Peter Pan, she loves the music and anything crocodile just like in Peter Pan. The song following the leader is becoming a regular song sung in our house as we skip around and take turns being the leader.
This video is a little little long, but so cute. She couldn't figure out how to blow out her candles and they weren't trick candles. Her big curly bushy hair kept getting in the way as well.

I love rain

It has rained everyday for the past couple of weeks here, and I'm loving it. Rain is like my personal invitation to slow down and rest, what a great way to start out summer break. It hasn't rained non stop, the sun has come out and it's has given us cool temperatures. When the sun peeks out, the kids play outside and I enjoy reading on the deck and smelling rain and nature. I've been able to leave my back door open and get a perfect breeze, and listen to sound of the rain. I love rainy days!

San Francisco

Jim had a job in California that he was going to help his brother out on, we decided to make it a mini vacation. It was a quick trip, but the kids had lots of fun
It was so cold, but the girls didn't care they were up to there knees in the water. They are my beach babies.
Devin was not liking how cold it was.

We went to this really cool look out point, it was gorgeous. Desi talked us into taking a short hike up this hill to get a better look. She ran up while me and Jim struggled.

The babies were napping with Grandpa in the car, that's why there not in the picture.

We took the kids to Rainforest cafe, it's such a fun place for kids.

This is a cool new store that's on the pier, Desi was excited. She got a left handed notebook that say," I may be left handed but I'm always right!"

Grandpa

Jim's Grandpa passed away on Sunday, he was 86 years old. He was a great man that loved and cared about everybody. I have hesitated to post something to my blog, because I'm not sure I can articulate what a great man he really was. He never treated me like a in-law or how my father in law would say, an outlaw. Jim was very close to his Grandpa and they talked regularly on the phone and he would stop in to say hi when he was in the area. Grandpa and Grandma celebrated their 66Th wedding anniversary in November, they had a great love for each other. We know he is rejoicing in heaven. We love you Grandpa, see ya on the other side.
