Day in the City

I love going to the city when we are California, you just never know what your going to see. The day we went it was supposed to rain, but it ended up being a perfect day, pier 39 wasan't super crowded either. I love waking around and looking in the fun shops. We always have to get something at the lefty store for Desi. We always get yummy hot mini donuts, and stop and get sourdough bread. They bread store had a asigo cheese sourdough bread, it was awesome!!

Watching the sea lions.

The kids love sponge Bob
I was so excited to eat at Bubba Gump Shrimp, the food is good and not super pricey. The resturant overlooks the pier, which is pretty cool. We ate at the Bubba Gump on the Santa Monica pier a couple years ago, they had this amazing dessert, it was heaven in my mouth. It was called "the chocolate thing." I was really wanting to get one, but they stopped carrying it, bummer!
We love the bush man, it tons of fun to stand there and watch him scare people. He is also so funny, my favorite, women would take a picture of him and not put money in his jar he would say, "If I took a picture of your bush, I would pay you." The Bush man got Desi good, we kind of set her up. She is always scaring brother and sister and it was pay back time. A trip to the city just wouldn't be the same without the bushman
My favorite look out point.
Tuesday we went to six flags where I found out i'm not as young as I used to be. I came off a rollercoaster so dizzy I had a sit down. I love rollercoasters, what is happening to me?

Easter

Easter Sunday we found a church to visit while we were in California. We found it through willow creek association. It was Northgate Christian Fellowship, the kids liked it.It was a church very simalar to ours so we fit right it. I think it's good for the kids to try new things and meet new people. The church had a easter egg hunt for all the kids during their class, so they came home another basket full of candy. After church we went to my sister in laws house and had dinner, the kids had fun playing with cousins, while we chatted.
The Easter bunny always leave a jelly bean trail from the kids bed to their baskets.

This is the view from the church we went to, isn't it awesome! I was totally one of those tourists taking pictures and amazed.

Muir Beach

After Muir woods we stopped at muir beach. Getting to muir woods you have to take a windy narrow road to get there. We had to turn around a one point and Jim thought it would be super funny to scare us by turning around and around close to the edge. I swear I almost peed my pants!
Devin wasn't to excited about getting wet or to close to waves, so he played in the sand most of time.
Ariana loves the ocean and I knew she would be soaked by the end of the day. It was to cold to have a beach day, so we there to look and get our toes wet. This just doesn't work when it comes to me and my kdis, we love the ocean. We always keep getting a little futher out until we ride home it wet clothes. Sometimes I think my parents were never supposed to move from California, we were supposed to be beach bums!!
My mother inlaw is going to slap me for adding this one. I don't have many photos of her, and I thought she looked beautiful sitting on this rock.

Muir Woods

I loved muir woods when I went as a teenager, and I haven't been back until this trip. It was awesome to see the big tall trees. It was crowed the day we went so parking was crazy. These are my kids and the Adam's cousins, Becca, Ricky, AJ, David and Steven.

I'm amazed at how big by boy is getting.

It's so differn't when we travel to San Franciso, everyone always comments how beautiful my kids are. They are people always stopping and ahhing. Maybe in Utah everyone has kids so it's just another one in the crowd. Ariana was in the bathroom and I was waiting for her to come out and as she left the stall all the women in the bathroom in line just let out a, "oh, look at her, she is a doll." She looked around shy and smiled.
My Nephew Steven
Desi really wanted to hike a trail at muir woods that takes you to a oceanview. It sounded awesome, but really we went prepared to hike. I had no water at all and it was kind of a cold almost rainy day. We hiked a little bit up the trail, I was hoping she would get tired and want to go back. I'm forgeting that this child is super althletic and can do more push-ups than the sixth grade boys. She was pretty upset when I told her we needed to turn around and go back. I've promised her that I would take her on a hike this summer somewhere. I was wanting to do the silver lake trail up to the falls so maybe we will do that this summer. anyone want to tag along?

Easter egg hunt

My kids loved sleeping next to Mitzy during our stay with Grandma and Grandpa Adams. Desi has finally gotten over her fear of dogs.

Saturday morning we went to a city Easter egg hunt, it was awesome. There was not a lot of kids there like the hunts in Utah.It made it nice for the kids and they got tons of candy. It was in the same town as the Jelly Belly factory so they help sponser it with tons of candy.

Go Devin!
