crazy moments

We are heading out of town for spring break this year, so excited!! The in-laws have purchased a house in Provo and they are moving here in the summer. We want to spend one last trip with them seeing the sites of San Francisco, while we stay free.

You mom's know how it is right before a trip, packing, packing, and more packing, laundry that has to be done to pack. I also had my 4 page MOPs newsletter to finish(OK start) before we leave on Thursday. I worked all day yesterday and I'm almost done with the newsletter. My house has to be perfectly cleaned before we leave, I don't know why it just does. I'm a mom freak. The van has to be cleaned, which I worked on yesterday. I still need to get Easter shoes for Ari, and find a outfit for Devin.

I've come up with a new plan of action, I promise it's crazy, but it just might work. I spend crazy amounts of time picking up the same toys the same clutter over and over again. I mop the floor almost daily because, my kids spill everything. So here it is, I'm not doing any of it. I will clean up after meals, and wash dishes, but everything else is just not going to happen.

After everything is packed and done, on Thursday morning I'll send the kids maybe to grandmas and I'll clean up everything just before walking out the door.

Utah Dance Championship

The girls have done amazing this year, and with each competition they get better and better. Desi's team dances took a 1st and a 2nd. Two of the studios dances won best of show and they also won the studio with the best technique. Congrats, you were amazing!

Handmade Quilt

I so wish I could take the credit of making this handmade quilt, isn't it beautiful. In person it's even better, the picture just isn't as good.
Sandy, one of my friends in my MOPs group makes these for moms having baby's, which there has been a lot of moms with new baby's. She is amazing, so talented and gifted. If that not the only amazing thing, she has 10 kids and is going school. Seriously Sandy rocks, big time.
Well, today she brings this blanket for my baby niece Macy, just because!!! I'm so excited for Kathy to see, that blogging about it is the fastest way. Watch your mail Kathy, I so wish I could hand deliver!

firefly lane

I just finished this book and loved it. It about two girls that meet in the 8Th grade and become best friends. Tully is the the cool social butterfly and Kate is the nerd. The book follows their friendship for 30 years of the ups and downs. I love how this book follows the relationship of women, friend to friend, and mom and daughter. If you have a teenage girl this is a great read, it follows the rocky path of a teenage daughter and mom relationship. Even though I don't quite have a teenage yet, I could relate. This book made me laugh and cry, it's a great book.

Yoga

I went to my first ever yoga class yesterday, and I really liked it. It is surprising how easy some of the poses look, but when you try it it's kind of hard. I got into most poses but I'm not sure it looked graceful. Crocodile pose I couldn't even come close, my arms have always been weak . I don't think I've done a back bend in 15 years, my brain knew how to do it, but my body was a different story. I got into the back bend, but it probably wasn't very pretty and I couldn't hold it very long. At one point the class was in yoga quietness and the instructor told us to go into the next pose, it looked easy enough so I tried it and I said a little too loud, "or maybe not." I'm a little sore today, but not bad considering I don't do any kind of exercise at all. So here's to yoga, maybe it will help me lose a few or at least be able to bend in fun spectacular ways.

Rock Stars

Desi's competition season has started and they are doing awesome. The girls have really been working extra hard this year. They recieved a diamond score today at Spotlight Dance cup, good job Desi!! Their clown dance is a dance with scooters and they act the part, their faces are so cute and funny, they really get into it.
