Start The Car!!!!

I feel like the lady in the IKEA commercials lately, "Start the Car, Whoooooooooooooooooooo!!!!. I have decided to try to minimize my grocery budget, by shopping coupons and sales. I'm a total Costco girl and was of the opinion if I could get it Costco I was getting a deal. I know that's not true now that I've been sale shopping. It's a great way to shop I just wish I had a huge pantry and freezer to be able to stock up a little more when sales come around. Here is my list of stuff I got at smiths and albertsons, I know I'm forgetting something, because I'm just going off of memory.

4 California Kitchen pizzas
2 full size red baron pizzas
18 jars of ragu sauce
1 covergirl nail polish
2 Pkg Oscar Meyer baloney
2 big pkg. premium sandwich meat
2 cans Campbell's Cheddar cheese soup
9 hamburger helpers (not a big fan, but kids and hubby love them, and they are quick)
2 fudge brownie mixs
8 yogurts
1 big jar of bread and butter pickles
1 big jar of whole dill pickles
sour cream
tube of crest toothpaste
Lysol toilet bowl cleaner
2 pkg. Bic cristal pens
10 full size candy bars(snicker, 3 musketeer's,twix)

All for a total of ....................$21.50

If I had started couponing early I could have got a lot more, but I only had a couple of weeks of coupons saved up. I also should have shopped the first day of the sale, a lot of things I wanted were sold out, things that would have been free after my coupons. Oh, well I just started and I think i did pretty good for a beginner.

Happy 4Th of July

I hope everyone had a great fourth of July!! We woke super early and went to the hot air balloon show and the parade. The kids played in the backyard pool after to cool off. We watched fireworks outside the stadium, the kids had fun making smores and playing games. Ari and Sophia are become little friends, it's super cute to watch them hold hands and play together. When it got dark they layed on their own blanket and looked up at the stars and sang twinkle twinkle little star, it was so sticken Cute!!
